According to reports, Amazon has just launched a new tool called “Consult-a-Friend”, which allows its customers to seek advice from friends, partners and relatives before making a purchase on the platform. This is the collaborative purchasing experience that Amazon is testing in some countries including Spain and Sweden. According to the survey results, users show the intention of sharing experiences and opinions before buying clothes, shoes, electronic products and furniture. As the company pointed out in an official statement, “As the holiday approaches, the function of consulting friends can simplify the purchase of gift products by saving everyone’s answers in a place convenient for buyers to browse.”
So, how to use the “consult friends” function? Just follow these steps:
1. Select the products you want to ask your friends about, and then click the “Share” button to select the messaging application and the designated recipients. New users must activate the “Request Friends to Vote” button.
2. The buyer’s friends will receive a message instructing them to click the “Ask a Friend” link to enter the Amazon shopping application, where they can view the product details and choose quick emoji response, or choose to add comments.
3. Once they respond, users can see their responses, and if the buyer asks more than one person, they can scroll through all the text comments in the Amazon shopping application.
